The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Infocom Interactive Fiction

February 23, 2005

Categories: Hitchhiker's Guide The Game

For your interest and amusement, click on the "Continue Reading" button to play my original Java port of the Infocom Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy game. The game is Copyright © the estate of Douglas Adams . ZPLet Java Z interpreter courtesy of Matthew Russotto. Software archaeology by myself, Richard Harris at Two Worlds Research.

Click here for some help information to get you started. Be warned though, if you click away from this window, you will exit the game. Nor can you save or restore game sessions. A much more playable version is the Twentieth Anniversary Edition that was developed from this. It also has a rather gorgeous interface with artwork created by the original artist of the Hitchhiker's Guide BBC TV series.
